Chance Rides is currently seeking a Field Service Technician to join our team.

 

Chance Rides, LLC manufactures a diverse line of amusement ride products including trains, trams, carousels, thrill rides, observation wheels and roller coasters that are enjoyed all around the world. With over 60 years of legacy and talent, our dedicated leadership, management and skilled workforce serves customers including global attraction venues, theme parks, family entertainment centers, zoos and aquariums.

We are currently seeking a Field Service Technician to install, troubleshoot, and maintain our extensive product line. Come grow with us!

Job Duties:

• Travel to customer locations (domestic and international) to install or troubleshoot with high regard to customer service and quality
• Install and service all Chance Rides equipment in accordance to drawings and engineered specifications
• Oversee installation projects onsite by delegating, communicating, training, organizing and facilitating effectively
• Follow safety guidelines at all times and report any violations to management
• Perform in-house assistance to various teams when not in the field
• Complete required installation paperwork and expense tracking online
• Other duties as assigned

• Work to improve systems, practices and expenses in regard to customer and field service

 Job Requirements:

• 3-6 years of mechanical/electrical service/install experience, overseeing assembly and/or installation of quality specialized products; amusement industry experience as a maintenance or electrical technician is preferred
• Proven understanding of electrical/mechanical applications, project management, and quality assurance programs
• Ability to travel domestically and internationally (including weekends) 60-70% of the year and for extended periods of time is required
• Strong communication (oral and written), customer service, technical and troubleshooting skills
• Sound organizational skills, proven ability to delegate tasks, and experience with customer relations a must
• Strong computer and mobile device skills a plus
• Ability to manage on time arrival and as scheduled to job sites and to work within established guidelines and procedures
• Valid driver’s license and good driving record; valid passport (or ability to obtain)
• Ability to read and understand mechanical and electrical drawings
• Familiar with ASTM safety standards a plus
• Ability to provide own basic hand and power tools
• Overall maintenance experience will be considered for this role

Function:         Project Management Role:                Project Manager Reports to:      Sr. Project Manager General Purpose: The Project Manager is responsible for directing all phases of projects from late contract execution through delivery and installation acting as the primary customer contact to meet project objectives. With a steady growth in business, we are currently looking for an experienced Parts Sales/Customer Service Representative to join our team. Job Duties include (but not limited to):

• Take and respond to customer phone calls and emails with courtesy, urgency, and professionalism.
• Provides timely and accurate information to customer inquiries for parts pricing, availability, and order status.
• Monitor and interact with E-commerce sales
• Enter sales orders via ERP system
• Provide technical help on our full line of products via phone/email.
• Manage back ordered parts (dates, addresses, colors, etc.)
• Work with purchasing and production to ensure on time delivery of parts.
• Generates weekly and monthly parts sales reports for management.
• Proactively conduct calls to clients/customers

Education and Experience:

• Associates degree preferred
• 2+ years’ experience in a parts/customer service role
• Ability to read technical parts manuals
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word & Excel)
• Experience using an ERP system (Global Shop preferred)

Chance Rides, LLC is currently seeking a Controls Engineer to join our team.

 

Chance Rides, LLC manufactures a diverse line of amusement ride products including trains, trams, carousels, thrill rides, observation wheels and roller coasters that are enjoyed all over the world. With over 60 years of legacy and talent, our dedicated leadership, management and skilled workforce serves customers, including stand-alone attraction venues across the globe and large and regional theme parks, family entertainment centers, zoos and aquariums.

Job Responsibilities:  This position will help design, develop, implement, and support all new and existing products manufactured. 

• Write PLC, HMI & VFD programs for amusement ride controls systems
• Commission and troubleshoot control systems
• Manage and schedule projects
• Assist with electrical schematic and panel design
• Occasional overnight travel for installation, commissioning, and customer support (company paid)

Minimum Job Requirements include (but not limited to): 

• Associate of Science Degree in electronic engineering technology, automation engineering technology, mechatronics, or equivalent
• 4+ years of programming knowledge (PLC, HMI, VFD, etc.)
• Previous experience with Allen-Bradley and Siemens control system software
• Ability to collaborate within a team environment and consistently meet established deadlines
• Excellent written/oral communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills

Preferred Skills and Training Requirements:

• Bachelor of Science Degree in electrical engineering, automation engineering, robotics, or equivalent ABET certified program; or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Experience in the Amusement Ride industry
• 2+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment
• Knowledge of Project Management and Scheduling for Engineering
• System Safety Analysis and report generation
• Familiarity with UL 508A (Qualified MTR), NFPA 70 NEC, and ASTM Safety standards
• Experience designing electrical power, control systems, and entertainment lighting systems
