Shipping Clerk/Crate Builder ($20-23/hr)

Chance Rides, LLC is currently seeking a Shipping Clerk/Crate Builder to join the team.

General Purpose:

Chance Rides, LLC manufactures a diverse line of amusement ride products including trains, trams, carousels, thrill rides, observation wheels and roller coasters that are enjoyed all over the world. With over 60 years of legacy and talent, our dedicated leadership, management and skilled workforce serves customers, including stand-alone attraction venues across the globe and large and regional theme parks, family entertainment centers, zoos and aquariums.

We are currently seeking an experienced Shipping Clerk/Crate Builder to join our growing team.

Primary Job Duties (including but not limited too):

• Pull orders for shipment
• Pack and ship items of various sizes and materials
• Knowledge of all standard size boxes, proper packaging, making boxes, securing boxes, skidding, crating, etc.
• Prepare outbound shipments, fill out paperwork, ensure material is packaged accurately, print shipping labels, etc.
• Use UPS shipping system and maintain good knowledge of freight carriers
• Track shipments
• Ensure all scheduled items go out on time
• Assist with stockroom and receiving duties as needed
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Keep shipping area clean and organized
• Operate forklifts
• Proficient use of email system (Outlook)
• Ability to multitask efficiently
• Ensure terms and services are correctly processed on every shipment
• Use of saws, nail guns, screw guns and other power tools to prepare LTL shipments as needed

Minimum Skills/Requirements for Position:

• At least 2 years of relevant shipping/warehouse experience
• Previous experience with UPS and LTL shipping
• Carpentry/crate building experience
• Highly organized, detail oriented, time efficient, self-starter with the ability to multi-task
• Excellent interpersonal and communications skills
• Ability to work within deadlines, follow verbal instructions and work independently
• Experience using MRP system- Global Shop preferred
• Valid DL with clean driving record
• Ability to pass pre-employment physical, drug screen and background check
